Music carries imagination
Ute Kleeberg accepts her 2021 Honorary Award with emotion in Reutlingen.
18.11.2021 – The Edition See-Igel has already released more than forty children’s audiobooks, with first-class speakers, enchanting music, all professionally recorded, always at its finest. Some of Ute Kleeberg’s stories have long since become classics. Language and music always intertwine so easily and naturally, as if it were no challenge at all. The children are always taken seriously. Yet the poetry also comes into its own, as does the music.
On November 18th, Ute Kleeberg received the PdSK Honorary Award in her hometown of Reutlingen as part of a musical-literary salon. She was celebrated, despite Corona, in front of a live audience. Juror Friederike Raderer praised the well-placed thought behind the lovingly selected fairy tales and stories. She also emphasized the emotionally coherent combination of music and narrative of the children’s book productions of the Edition See-Igel, as well as the careful selection of music in the midst of omnipresent classical mainstreams. Ute Kleeberg received the certificate with great emotion. However, she passed on the enclosed flower voucher to the organization Médecins Sans Frontières.
