New executive committee

The members of the »German Record Critics’ Award« elected a new executive committee at an online meeting on 27 August 2022.

29.08.2022 – The new chairman of the association is Albrecht Thiemann, freelance publicist and editor in charge of the magazine »Opernwelt« for many years. Julia Kaiser, freelance writer for Deutschlandfunk and other public broadcasters and expert in music education, was appointed to first vice-chairwoman. Torsten Fuchs, freelance editor and radio journalist, is the second vice-chairman. Jörg Wachsmuth was appointed to treasurer. He succeeds Christian Kröber, who held this position for ten years.

The previous first chairwoman, Eleonore Büning, had led the association for eleven years with great commitment. She will continue to serve as a juror.
