Belgian vocal ensemble Graindelavoix

enjoy their PdSK Annual Award 2022.

20.11.2022 – With the Technoclub Central at the water tower in Erfurt, the Thuringian Bach Weeks found an extraordinary venue and an ingenious place for a concert that went outside tradition. The Belgian vocal ensemble Graindelavoix interpreted the music of »Josquin the undead«, the immortal Josquin de Prez, whose music was alive and kicking this evening, with neurosurgical and quantum mechanial precision; highly emotional, generous and compassionate, a gold-shimmering emulsion and yet exquisitely granular. To make fellow musicians and audience feel is the specialty of Björn Schmelzer (on the left in the picture, congratulated by an ensemble member) and Graindelavoix. They already set a high point for the Josquin year 2021 with their recording of the program, which the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritk acknowledged in its list of the Annual Awards 2022. The beaming ensemble received the certificate in Erfurt, presented to them by PdSK juror Julia Kaiser.
